Each day is a day of discovery at the West Branch Community Early Learning Center.
Now that our mortgage is paid in full, funds can more fully cover ongoing facility, staffing and program improvements.
Springing from an identified community need in 1984, we’ve partnered with our local educators to provide an early education center that has not only provided quality pre-school and childcare for over 700 children, but has made a work experience possible for over 300. That’s a lot of nurturing.
So many hands have helped to create this beautiful idea over the years. From the volunteering of sweat equity in our early days at the original Wildenberg House on 5th Street, the move and expansion to the Friends Church and then to the excavating for our permanent home on Orange Street in 1998, it’s all been done with careful oversight by a volunteer board. West Branch citizens have been part of our non-profit.
In 2008 a mortgage was obtained to expand and finish the lower level and that space now provides room for additional children and caregivers. From the beginning we included the word community into our name and we’ve expanded services to include preschool programs. Our homegrown project looks to the future.
Your donation large or small would mean so much to our present and future children. Remember, the WBCELC is a 501(c) 3 non- profit entity, so your donation is tax deductible.
